Exam |
This
is a basic examination to check the vitals of the horse
and look for physical abnormalities and characteristics.

| Lameness
Exam |
A
basic examination is conducted to identify any lameness
issues. This exam will also include time in the Odyssey
Exerciser to better monitor the horse's natural movement.

| Endoscopic
Exam |
Using
our Video Endoscope, we perform an examination of the
upper airway to identify any problems in the upper respiratory
system.
|
|
| Ultrasound
Examination |
Using
our Video Ultrasound System, we perform a complete Ultrasound
Exam of the flexor tendons and suspensory ligaments in
the forelimbs to document any pre-existing lesions.

|
| Oral
Examination |
An
Oral Exam is performed to determine estimated age and
look for any problems with the teeth.
|
|
| Digital
Radiographs |
Over
50 digital radiographs will be taken and reviewed by the
Veterinarian.
|
|
| Drug
Screen |
This
drug screen is performed to identify if a horse has been
drugged to enhance its value and performance for sale.
|
|
| Complete
Chemistry Panel |
A
routine exam of the horse's blood is performed to identify
any medical concerns. A chemistry panel and complete blood
count are performed.

|
| Coggins
Test |
A
Coggins Test is performed and provided to the client.
|
|
| Digital
Photos |
We
take digital photographs of the horses to document the
exam and any findings. These photos can be used for insurance
and historical purposes.

|
| DVD/CD
Production |
A
DVD and/or CDRom is produced for the client's records.
Digital Radiographs, Video Ultrasound Exam, Video Endosopic
Exam and Digital Photographs will be included on the media
disc.

|
| Health
Certificate |
If needed, a Health Certificate will be provided to the
client.
|
|
| Fecal
Exam |
A
routine Fecal Exam is performed to check the horse's parasite
load.
|
|
| Reproductive
Examination** |
This
exam helps to determine the reproductive capacity of a
mare and to identify any areas of concern. A culture and/or
biopsy may be performed at an additional cost.
|
|
Insurance Examination***
|
Insurance
companies often require a veterinary exam of a horse prior
to paying claims or binding coverage.
|
|

A Reproductive Exam will be performed only if the mare
or stallions' intended use or future intended use is breeding. Additional charges apply.
