We have special mare/foal paddocks with free standing stalls designed for the foal’s safety in mind. The stalls serve as a run in shed when left open or as a stall when closed, the door is 6ft wide so the mare and foal can both safely enter and exit. Stall gates are custom galvanized mesh that reach to the floor so the foal cannot slip underneath. Paddock gates are custom galvanized mesh as well. We routinely foal out the mares in the barn and when ready move the mare with her newborn foal into a special mare/foal paddock.
